Reflection on one year
So you may not know this but as of Dec 9th (this Friday), my company (my other baby in many ways) DataCom Technologies LLC is a year old. A history in brief is to follow. The Idea: Wintertime in late 2013 and early 2014 we spent time having conversations regarding starting a company, what that company would look like and even investigating some different avenues. The Name: March 2014 the name DataCom Technologies was hatched. We wanted people to think of this company whenever it was born as a company that specialized in Data and Communications, thus DataCom. The Plan: The plan came in March of 2014 as well, we originally thought about a alarm and data connection company and wrote a rather extensive business plan. This planned was shelved as I changed jobs twice in the following 4 months and landed in a job that was both fantastic and agonizing.
