Note 7 is dead but not Samsung
I am sure if you have been watching any news recently you have heard about the Samsung Note 7 "Catching Fire" . Which has nothing to do with the Hunger Games. The Note 7 is catching on fire and even caused significant damage to an airplane a few weeks ago. Note 7 catches plane on fire
Now Samsung said they had it under control and issued replacement phones. But the airplane fire proved it was not. As of today, Note 7 is off the market.
If you know me and have asked what Smartphone I recommend I always say anything Samsung. And I will continue to stand by that. However the Note 7 is dead. It will not be coming back to market. Samsung has known that the Note 7 is dead and they are not going to try to revive it. Basically the Note 8 will be the next model. Samsung did not even bring the Note 7 to CTIA this year, every thing was about the S7. And even if Samsung tries to bring it back the public will not accept it.
I could see Samsung releasing a S7 plus with a 5.7" or larger screen . The S7 has been very reliable and has remained Samsung's flagship smartphone.
I have heard from some of my friends and customers that Samsung is dead, and cannot recover.
However consider this,Samsung holds about 20% of the smartphone world market, making them the biggest Smartphone Manufacturer in the world. Apple only has about 10% of the world market. Samsung is the name on most of the LCD screens I see in my company. They are the worlds largest TV manufacturer. Not to mention the push in Virtual Reality right now which Samsung is leading the charge on. Also underneath the Samsung company umbrella is 80 other companies! Samsung smartphones will take a hit in sales and may take a backseat to Apple however they are not going anywhere.
I am looking forward to the next phone Samsung releases, hopefully early next year.

Have a great day!
